Bethany came in for her Springfield Missouri boudoir session on a whim! After redoing the studio, I absolutely wanted to show it off. She was one of the first people in my new boudoir studio! This librarian is anything but boring.
When designing her set, we wanted to make this feel freeing, empowering, and also soft and intimate. It’s a delicate line to walk sometimes, but it’s my favorite line to walk.
I’ve known Bethany for many, many years. She was actually one of my high school teachers. She has also been a loyal supporter since day one, rarely ever falling below the top ten contributors in my VIP Facebook group. I was very stoked to be honored with her presence in my boudoir studio, especially now as two adults!
Booktok and Boudoir Photography go hand in hand!
We went with quite a few of my favorite client closet looks. One of my favorite outfits is the black lace and velvet body suit she’s wearing with the big tulle robe (which is also available in the client closet!!). The only thing I didn’t have was her booky-sweater set. Everything else you see is available to pull for your own session!
Speaking of booky-sweater set!! Somehow it took both of us till the absolute last second to even think about bringing books in. She’s a whole ass librarian. The writing was on the wall. And somehow we overlooked it! But, like all things that are meant to be, we remembered. The booky set is one of my absolute favorite now!
If you’re thinking about booking a session in my Springfield Missouri Boudoir studio, don’t forget to bring your booktok books! It’s such a fun way to add a personal touch to your session. Plus, those are some pretty spicy books. It adds a perfect amount of spice to a session too!
