Our wedding wasn't ours. The venue, the dress, the photographer, all of it was someone else's choice, and we ended up with one unedited photo to show for the whole day. When Julie said she could've done better with just a camera and a tripod, she got one for Christmas and went all in. CJ joined soon after with videography, and we've shot weddings as a team ever since...
...and now we're Determined to give you the photos and the experience we never got.

We recognize that the wedding industry is unfortunately not always inclusive of all love, so we strive to be a safe and affirming place for the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC individuals, and anyone else who feels like they are often not considered. We proudly celebrate all types of gender identities, sexual orientations, body types, abilities, and ages. You are loved here.
Let us make this very clear:
I pride myself in being the type of person who makes you feel like we've been friends for years within the first five minutes. I know how to make you feel comfortable, peel back the layers, and get you to actually open up, which is where the good photos come from. I'm drawn to shots that feel like old memories, grainy, filmy, a little moody, that's the direction I keep leaning into more and more. I tend to attract the people who consider themselves outcasts here in Missouri and just want to feel seen in their photos.
I'm creative, a little chaotic, and always down to do something moderately insane if it means getting outside the norm. Also, most of the wedding vendors around here just call me the Green Haired Liberal at this point, so that should tell you who you're working with. ;)
I'm the calm one who people tend to naturally gravitate towards. I've been told I'm like a magnet of friendliness, which balances out well against Julie's natural RBF. (Her words, I swear!)
When something goes sideways, I actually get kind of excited about it, because I love solving problems. I like hearing what people are dreaming up and figuring out how to actually make it happen. I picked up videography and camera settings pretty fast, I watched Julie change her settings once and had the basics down within a month. Couldn't really explain how, I just pay attention.
